Today I`m sharing with you one of my favorite apple custard pie recipes. It`s much tastier than old-fashioned tarts and very easy to cook.

Ingredients
DOUGH:
- 250 g. Flour
- 3 g. Baking powder
- 100 g. Butter
- 2 pcs. Eggs
- 60 g. Sugar

- 300 ml. Milk
- 80 g. Sugar
- 3 pcs. Egg Yolks
- 25 g. Corn starch
- Vanillin
- 250 g. Apples

Instructions
For the custard
- Mix 3 egg yolks with sugar and cornstarch in the small saucepan.
- Add vanilla and whisk everything until smooth.
- Pour milk into the saucepan. Set it over low heat.
- Cook until custard thickens enough, stirring it constantly.
- As soon as the custard is ready, cover it with cling film and leave to cool down.
For the dough
- To make the pastry, sift the flour and baking powder into a large bowl. Grate cold butter on a coarse grater. Mix everything carefully.
- Add 2 eggs and sugar. Knead the dough.
- Divide it into 2 parts. Wrap one of them in cling film and leave in the freezer for several minutes.
- Grease baking pan with butter. Evenly spread the dough over the bottom of the pan and transfer it to the fridge for 20 minutes.
- In the meantime, peel apples and cut them into cubes.
- Pile the apples into the center of the form. Add cold custard.
- Grate frozen dough over your pie and form the edges. Bake the pie for about 45 minutes.
- Take it out of the oven and leave it to cool down. Serve it warm or cold with a cup of tea.
